The Greater Bridgeport Latino Network (GBLN) was established in December 2003 in response to the growing need for Latino professionals in the greater Bridgeport area to establish a collaborative environment where Latino and other interested professionals could exchange resources and ideas.
Latinos comprise over
35 percent of the greater Bridgeport area population. While a very diverse community, many Latinos face numerous social, educational, and economic challenges.
GBLN has come together to help coordinate and form collaborations among Latino and other groups that support positive changes to address some of these challenges and contribute to Bridgeport’s growth.
GBLN is a 501c3 non-profit organization with a
12-member Board of Directors. Our mission is to educate the public, private, and nonprofit sectors about the various social and economic issues affecting Latinos and to participate in activities that foster a sense of support and unity among the Latino community.
