A Call to Action for Bridgeport Parents

The Bridgeport school board has scheduled three new forums to gauge parental reaction to a plan to make students walk longer distances to school. The idea of expanding the walking distances for elementary students from 1 to 1.5 miles in an effort to save money and thus school personnel will be aired as follows:

Monday, July 18 at Barnum/Waltersville School

Tuesday, July 19 at Read School

Wednesday, July 20 at Winthrop School

All three sessions start at 6 p.m.
