Civics 101 Workshop: Empowering the Community Through Civic Knowledge

Civics 101 is a 2-day weekend workshop that is free and open to the public. The mission of the workshop is to build community power through increasing civic knowledge here in Bridgeport. The goal is to gather people together with local experts to discuss key issues and provide context and content. We need to build a collective understanding of our shared reality that will enhance our ability to self-govern! The workshop will be broken into 3 themes: "Learning From History," "Building Knowledge," and "Taking Action."
