VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) is an IRS program that provides free State and Federal tax preparation and filing to individuals and households who made less than $53,505 in 2016. Convenient sites are located throughout Coastal Fairfield County with weekday and weekend hours available.

If you made less than $64,000 last year and want to self-file, you can do so at unitedway.org/myfreetaxes. The program is easy, safe, secure and 100% free. Online chat help is available as well as help by text or email.
