The Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County is organizing a 2-day creative placemaking conference, Shaping Community. Day One will be filled with demonstrations, discussions, performances in celebration and further exploration of the role of the cultural community in shaping our neighborhoods and towns. Day Two will be workshopping creative placemaking project grant proposals for submission to the NEA Our Town and other placemaking funders.

Day One is open to everyone: we encourage artists, developers, town planners, economic development officers, architects, arts and culture nonprofit workers, health and transportation officials, and citizens of our towns to register and actively participate.

Day Two is just for our working groups, selected from the Town Meetings we have been holding over the last month, facilitated by John Cusano.

Registration includes coffee, light breakfast and lunch. Vegetarian option.

Please do not register for Day Two unless you are a confirmed member of a Working Group.

TICKETS: Day One: (Discussion & Performance, Jan 23): $20 includes light breakfast and lunch Day Two: (Working Groups, Jan. 24): $20 - includes light breakfast and lunch Working Group Special (Jan. 23 + 24): $30 - for working group members who also attend the first day.
